Top spot in the NFC East division will be on the line when the Dallas Cowboys battle the New Giants at Giants Stadium on Sunday.
The divisional matchup pits the team generally considered the best in the NFC this season against a team that’s currently the conference's hottest. The first-place Cowboys are 7-1 SU, their only loss at the hands of the undefeated New England Patriots, while the second-place Giants are 6-2, having won six straight after opening the season 0-2.
Bet the Cowboys-Giants game at BetUS, which has the Cowboys as a 1½-point favorite and the over/under at 49.
The teams met in Week 1 this season, when QB Tony Romo threw for a career-high 345 passing yards and four touchdowns to lead the Cowboys to a 45-35 win over the Giants at Texas Stadium.
Dallas has put together its best record at the season's halfway point since 1995, the season the Cowboys won their last Super Bowl.
Dallas rebounded from the 48-27 loss to New England in Week 6 with victories in each of its last two contests, including a most-impressive 38-17 thrashing of defending NFC East champ Philadelphia on the road last Sunday.
After giving up 80 points in losses to Dallas and Green Bay to start the campaign, the Giants have surrendered only 79 points total during their six-game win streak – the Giants longest roll since it had seven straight wins in 1990 en route to a Super Bowl victory.
Various betting trends favor the Giants in Sunday’s tilt, including the fact they are 5-1-1 ATS in the past seven meetings with Dallas.
As well, the Giants are 6-2 SU in their past eight games at home against Dallas, and 4-1 ATS in their past five at home against Dallas.
Dallas is 7-1 SU in its past eight games on the road, and 5-1 ATS in its past six on the road.
