Steelers fading away from Playoffs

The St.Louis Rams (+8) play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers (-8), at Edward Jones Dome, for some Thursday Night Football.
The Steelers have suffered back to back losses and their slowly watching their playoff chances slip away to the surging Cleveland Browns. The Rams have no chance at the playoffs but they can play spoiler.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-9 ATS, 6-8 O/U) lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15, 22-29, on the road. In Week 14 they were supposed to be the only team to be able to possibly beat the N.E. Patriots, but they were humiliated 13-34, in N.E. The Steelers are currently 2-4 on the road.

The St.Louis Rams (5-9 ATS, 5-9 O/U) lost to the G.B. Packers, 14-33, on the road last week. The Rams have three wins in their last ten games and they are 1-6 at home.

Last week the Steelers were 3-point favorites over the Jags and the over/under was set at 34. The final score was 22-29. The Steelers failed to cash in on the spread and the over/under was well OVER the posted 34pts. QB Ben Roethlisberger was average with 16/33 for 146 YDS and 3 TD. He was sacked 5 times. None of the Steelers RB had a TD on the day and WR Hines Ward had 4 REC for 31 YDS and 1 TD.

Last week the Rams were 7-point underdogs over the G.B Packers and the over/under was set at 46. The final score was 14-33. The Packers cashed in on the spread and the over/under just squeaked OVER the posted 46pts. QB Marc Bulger was 20/39 for 219 YDS with 1 TD. RB Steven Jackson was the top receiver on the day with 24 ATT for 143 YDS and 1 TD. The only receiver to catch a TD pass was WR Torry Holt.
