Raptors look to continue dominance against Clippers

Dec. 18, 2007/By Rob Gerein

The Toronto Raptors will be looking for their third-straight win against the Los Angeles Clippers when the teams meet tonight at the Staples Center.

The Raptors are 4½-point favorites at BetUS, while the game's total is sitting at 186½.

The teams are even over the past 10 games head-to-head, with each winning five. Toronto has been far better against the spread, though, going 8-2 ATS over that span. The teams last met on Feb. 4. when Toronto picked up a 122-110 home win as a 3-point favorite.

The Raptors’ last loss to the Clippers was Feb. 5, 2006, when LA edged Toronto 115-113 at the Air Canada Center.

In their last game, the Raptors (14-11 SU, 16-9 ATS) lost to the Boston Celtics 90-77 as a 1½-point underdog. The score ended up under the over/under total of 180. Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Jamario Moon had 13 points.

The Clippers (9-14 SU, 9-14 ATS) lost to the crosstown rival Los Angeles Lakers 113-92 as a 7-point underdog in their last game, with the score going over the over/under total of 202.5.

Toronto is 5-0 ATS in its past five games against the Clippers, and 5-1 ATS in its past six on the road against the Clippers.

There’s a big under trend: the total has gone under in five of Toronto's past six on the road against LA, under in four of Toronto's past five overall, and under in six of LA’s past eight at home.
