Lakers hope to end losing skid against Timberwolves

Two teams that have been struggling lately meet up Tuesday night when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Lakers (9-8 SU and ATS) have dropped two straight while the Timberwolves (2-13 SU, 6-9 ATS) have lost their past three.
Bet this NBA tilt at BodogLife, which has the Lakers as 8½-point favorites and the over/under at 205.
This is the second meeting of the season between the teams. On Nov. 9, Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, pulled down seven rebounds and handed out seven assists to lead the Lakers to a 107-93 victory over the Timberwolves at the Staples Center.
The Lakers lost 104-97 to the Orlando Magic as a pick'em in their last game, the first of a short, two-game road trip that concludes tonight. The score was under the over/under total of 211. Bryant led the Lakers with 28 points and Lamar Odom had 19 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.
The Timberwolves lost 109-80 to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night as 9-point underdogs. The score was under the 211-point total. Rashad McCants was the high scorer for the Timberwolves with 18 points.
The Lakers are 5-1 SU in their past six games against Minnesota, 3-7 SU in their past 10 on the road, and 2-5 ATS in their past seven on the road against Minnesota.
Minnesota is 5-2 SU in its past seven at home against LA Lakers. Minnesota is 6-16 ATS in its past 22 games.
The Timberwolves will be without head coach Randy Wittman for tonight’s game as he prepares for back surgery on Wednesday.
No timetable has been set for Wittman's return as that decision will come after Wednesday's procedure.
