Lakers Getting The Money in Game 4
June 11, 2009 / SPORTSBETTING.com
The Orlando Magic re-grouped after going down 2-0 to the Lakers in Los Angeles and delivered a huge home win for their rabid fans in
Game 3 on Tuesday.
On Thursday, they play what is arguably the biggest game in franchise history (no disrespect Game 2). The big question is can the
shooters stay hot in Game 4, or will Kobe and crew put together a complete game and pull off the underdog win on the road.
The sports betting public is leaning to the latter, as SPORTSBETTING.com is reporting almost
70% of all the betting action on Game 4 is coming in on the Lakers.
LA is a 2-point underdog for tonight's game, but they opened at -3. Money keeps coming in on the visitor. The Total is set at 201.5.
Orlando is still a longshot in series price betting, listed at +400 to win it all.
The Magic have been very accommodating the last 17 times the Los Angeles Lakers have paid a visit to Amway Arena, going 6-11 ATS.
Total bettors take note, over that stretch those games have produced 12 Overs and 5 Unders and currently they have played six straight
Overs.
While Orlando has gone 12-8 ATS in its last 20 games overall, they are 11-9 ATS in their last 20 home games.
The Magic have done well for themselves and bettors the last 20 times they've been favored by 4-points or less, going 13-6-1 ATS and
in the last seven games at -4 and less, they are 6-1 ATS.
In their last 20 playoff games, the Lakers are only batting 500 with a record of 10-10 ATS.
Kobe Bryant and crew have gone 6-8 ATS in their last 14 road games.
The Lakers have thrived when listed as underdogs of 4-points or less, going 15-5 against the spread and are also 3-6 on the Over/Under
in their last nine games in the same situation.
As mentioned, Game 4 will be crucial in this year's NBA final. The Magic can either make a series of it with a win or they can pretty
much concede to the Lakers with a loss.
In Exact Games betting, SPORTSBETTING.com has the Lakers are listed
at +400 to win the championship series in 5 games, or 4 games to 1, +140 to take it in 6 games (4-2) or +180 to win it in a seventh and
deciding game (4-3).
The Magic are listed at +800 to take it in 6 games or +500 to take it in 7 games.
We'll see if this year's NBA final is truly a homer series tonight as the home team has triumphed SU through three games.
We'll also see what the Orlando Magic are made of and if it will be a good finish.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
