Big Brown is the favorite to win the Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of horse racing's Triple Crown, on Saturday at Pimlico Race Course.
And horse-racing betting fans who bet on the Preakness at Sportsbetting.com will be in line for some big bonuses – whether or not Big Brown wins the race.
Sportsbetting.com is offering two different Preakness Stakes Promotions leading up to the 133rd running of the $1-million race:
1. Free $25 – If Big Brown wins the Preakness, all bettors that make a wager of $50 or more receive a free $25 cash prize deposited into their account.
2. 100% Match Deposit Bonus – Any customers who make a deposit up until 5 pm ET Saturday and place a wager of $50 or more on the Preakness receives a 100% match bonus on their deposit(s) up to $100
As well, Sportsbetting.com is offering a $100,000 Triple Crown Contest.
Sportsbetting.com has Big Brown as a 1-4 favorite, followed by Behindatthebar at 7-1 and Kentucky Bear at 12-1.
Big Brown won the 134th Kentucky Derby on May 3, becoming the first horse to win the Run for the Roses after just three career starts since the filly Regret managed that feat in 1915. He also became the first horse since the gelding Clyde Van Dusen in 1929 to win from the outside No. 20 post position.
Behindatthebar, trained by Todd Pletcher, won the Grade II Coolmore Lexington race on April 19 but did not race in the Derby.
Kentucky Bear’s trainers say the horse will be well-rested after skipping the Derby. The son of Mr. Greeley, which sired 40 individual stakes winners, did not earn enough graded-stakes money to secure a spot in America's top race.
The Preakness starts at 5 pm ET and can be seen on NBC.
