Betting Public likes underdog Texas Tech

The underdog Texas Tech Red Raiders are getting lots of action heading into tonight’s Big 12 matchup with the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks.
According to Public Betting information, more than 60 per cent of bets on the game are on the Red Raiders to beat the 19½-point road spread against the heavily favored Jayhawks.
The over/under total is 147 at Sportbet, one of Total Odds’ recommended sportsbooks.
Kansas (11-3 Big 12) is tied for first place in the conference with the Texas Longhorns, while Texas Tech (7-7 Big 12) is tied with three other teams for fourth, four games back of Kansas and Texas.
Kansas is 5-2 SU and ATS over the past seven meetings, but lost the last time the teams met on Jan. 20, 2007. The Red Raiders won that game 69-64 as 4½-point home underdogs.
Texas Tech (16-12 SU, 15-8 ATS) could get a boost from its big win over rival Texas 83-80 on Saturday. Texas Tech won as 5½-point home underdogs and the score went over the 141½-point total.
Kansas (26-3 SU, 13-12-2 ATS) jumped out to a 12 point lead at halftime en route to an 88-74 win over the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday. The score went over the total of 149. Brandon Rush led the Jayhawks with 21 points, and Sherron Collins added 18 in the win.
The total has gone over in seven of Texas Tech's past eight games, and in four of Texas Tech's past five on the road. Texas Tech is 9-4 ATS in its past 13 games, and 4-2 SU in its past six.
Kansas is 5-0 SU in its past five at home, and 5-0 SU and ATS in its past five at home against Texas Tech. Kansas is 22-3 SU in its last 25 games.
