Louisville, Pitt clash in Big East quarterfinal

The No. 13 Louisville Cardinals face the Pittsburgh Panthers in quarterfinal action tonight at the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
The Cardinals are a 5-point favorite at Sportsbook.com and the over/under total is 129.
The Panthers are 3-2 SU and ATS over the past five meetings. The teams last squared off on Feb. 24, when Louisville edged Pittsburgh 75-73 as a 1-point road favorite. The score went over the total of 131.
Pittsburgh (23-9 SU, 10-8 Big East) beat Cincinnati 70-64 in the opening round of the Big East Tourney on Wednesday. Pittsburgh failed to cover the 8½-point spread and the score was over the total of 129. Sam Young led Pittsburgh with 21 points, and Keith Benjamin added 15 in the win.
The seventh-seeded Panthers, who have advanced to six of the last seven Big East title games and are 16-6 in the tournament since 2001, will likely earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament no matter how it does in the Big East Tourney.
Louisville (24-7 SU, 14-4 Big East), the second seed in the Big East Tournament, was defeated 55-52 by the No. 9 Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday, as 3½-point road underdogs. The score was under the total of 126½.
Terrence Williams had 14 points for Louisville, and David Padgett shot 5-for-7 from the field with 12 points in the loss.
The total has gone OVER in all five of Pittsburgh's past five games. Pittsburgh is 4-1 SU in its past five games, but 2-6 ATS in its last eight.
Louisville is 9-1 SU and ATS in its past 10 games.
