Spurs look to avenge loss to Nuggets

Mar 10, 2008 / By Rob Gerein

The San Antonio Spurs will be out for revenge tonight when they face the Denver Nuggets for the second time in four days at the AT&T Center.

Bet this NBA game at Sportsbetting.com, which has the Spurs as 7-point favorites and the over/under total at 201.

San Antonio lost 109-96 to Denver on Friday, ending the Spurs’ 10-game winning streak. The Nuggets covered as 2½-point home favorites, and the score went over the total of 200½. San Antonio is 6-4 SU and ATS over the past 10 meetings.

Allen Iverson had a team-high 28 points in Denver's 132-105 loss to Northwest Division rival Utah Jazz on Saturday night. The Jazz easily covered the 5½-point spread at home and the score went over the total of 225. Denver is 37-25 SU and 31-31 ATS this season.

The Spurs (43-19 SU, 29-33 ATS) lost to the Phoenix Suns 94-87 as a 1½-point underdog on Sunday. The score was under the total of 203½. Manu Ginobili scored a game-high 22 points for San Antonio and Tony Parker netted 21 points in the loss.

Over/under bettors should note that Friday’s tilt was the first of the past 10 meetings to go over the total.

San Antonio is 5-0 SU in its past five at home, and 11-2 SU in its last 13 overall.

The game starts at 8:30 pm ET and can be seen on RTV.
