Canucks look for fifth-straight win against Colorado

The Vancouver Canucks host the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday in a battle of heated Northwest division rivals.
The Canucks are -155 moneyline favorites at Bodog, while the game's total is 5½. About 52 per cent of wagers on this game are on a Colorado win, according to Public Betting information.
Head-to-head, the teams are even over the past 10 meetings, each winning five. They last met on Feb. 9, when the Avalanche beat up the Canucks 6-2.
In the Avs' last game Tuesday night, Paul Stastny scored a power play goal in overtime to give them a 3-2 win over division rival Calgary Flames. Colorado was a +130 road underdog, and the score was under the over/under total of 5.5.
Ryan Smyth and Milan Hejduk scored the other goals for the Avs (32-26-6), and Jose Theodore stopped 27-of-29 shots.
In the Canucks' last game Saturday, Ryan Kesler scored twice and Roberto Luongo made 28 saves as the Canucks beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1. It was the fourth-straight victory for the Canucks (32-22-8), who won the game as -120 favorites, while the score was a push against the over/under total of 5.
Alexander Edler and Sami Salo scored the other goals for the Canucks. Daniel Sedin pocketed two assists in the win.
The total has gone under in six of Colorado's past eight games, and in four of the past six meetings, but has gone over in eight of the past 12 meetings in Vancouver.
Colorado is 8-4 SU in its past 12 games on the road.
Vancouver is 5-1 SU in its past six games, and 15-7 SU in its past 22 games at home.
