No. 1 Vols seek 10th-straight win against Vanderbilt

The Tennessee Volunteers, the top-ranked NCAA College basketball team in the country, will be shooting for their 10th-straight victory when they visit the No. 14 Vanderbilt Commodores in a SEC conference battle Tuesday night.

Tennessee is a 2½-point favorite at BetOnline.com, and the over/under total is 160.

Both teams have been rolling lately, as Tennessee (25-2 SU, 13-9-1 ATS) has won nine in a row and Vanderbilt (23-4 SU, 13-13 ATS) has won six straight.

Tennessee is 6-4 SU and 7-2 ATS over the past 10 meetings. The teams last clashed on Jan. 17, when the Vols had no trouble dumping the Commodores 80-60, easily covering the 11½-point home spread. The score went under the total of 166.

Tennessee (11-1 SEC) won a dramatic 66-62 decision over the Memphis Tigers on Saturday in a clash of the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the nation. The Vols were 6.5-point road underdogs. The 128 were under the total of 157.5.

Tyler Smith had 16 points and six rebounds for the Volunteers, while JaJuan Smith hauled down 10 rebounds in the win.

Shan Foster went for 29 points and six rebounds to lead Vanderbilt over Georgia 86-74 on Saturday. Vanderbilt (8-4 SEC) cashed in as 8.5-point home favorites as the teams played over the 144-point total.

Tennessee is 5-0 SU in its last five on the road, and is 6-1 ATS in its last seven on the road against Vanderbilt. The total has gone under in seven of Tennessee's past eight on the road.
