Feb 19, 2008 / By Nick Bailey

College Basketball bettors will be focusing on tonight’s Big Ten conference clash between the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers and the red-hot No. 15 Purdue Boilermakers.

Although Purdue takes an 11-game winning streak into tonight’s NCAA Basketball tilt, the Hoosiers are 5-point favorites at Bet Jamaica. The over/under total is 133½.

Purdue (12-1 Big Ten) sits atop the conference, 1½ games ahead of the third-place Hoosiers (10-2 Big Ten).

Indiana has an edge head-to-head, going 7-3 SU over the past 10 meetings. But Purdue easily handled Indiana when the teams last squared off Feb. 15 last season, as the Boilermakers won 81-68 and covered the 1½-point home spread. The score was over the total of 131½.

Purdue’s latest victory came Saturday against Northwestern, when it won 71-56 as 8½-point road favorites. The 127 points were under the total of 128½. E'Twaun Moore tossed in a game-high 28 points and shot 10-for-15 from the field for Purdue (21-5 SU, 14-9 ATS).

Eric Gordon went for 28 points to lead Indiana over the Michigan State Spartans by an 80-61 count on Saturday night. Indiana (21-4 SU, 11-11 ATS) covered as 5½-point home favorites and the score was over the total.

Purdue is 5-0 ATS in its past five games overall, and 5-0 SU and ATS in its past five on the road.

Indiana is 5-0 SU in its past five at home against Purdue. Indiana is 17-3 SU in its past 20 overall, and 11-2 SU in its past 13 at home.

Next up for Purdue is a home game against Minnesota on Wednesday, Feb. 27, while Indiana is at Northwestern on Saturday.

The game starts at 7 pm ET and can be seen on ESPN.
